Kelton's favorite Italian things

Kelton got to use his passport for the first time on our trip to Italy. We stayed in Florence for a week, the little town of Vernazza in the Cinque Terra for a week and finally Pisa for two days before catching our flight home. Kelton was a great traveler and he had a wonderful time. His list of favorite Italian things differs from ours a bit, but here it is:

Stomping on Manhole Covers
Kelton had to do his little stomping dance on every cover and grate he walked by. Usually he'd come back and do it a bunch of times. Here he is enjoying one by the leaning tower of Pisa and another in front of the medieval church Santa Minato in Florence.

Brooms
Not that we don't also have brooms at home, but he got really into sweeping in our Vernazza apartment.

A Dip in the Ligurian Sea
Kelton always loved watching the waves, but he was hesitant to get into the water until our last day in Vernazza. David finally pursuaded him to try it and he had a wonderful time playing in the little waves in the harbor. I wish he'd warmed up to it sooner!

We did agree on what goes at the top of the list - Gelato! We never missed a day of Gelato. Kelton loved to dig in with his own spoon night or day.
