Bathtime videos

Here's the long awaited videos of Kelton's bathtime in living color. Something to share with his future prom date...

Here's a video of Kelton's sponge bath in the kitchen when he was 15 days old.

(Note: LARGE 9MB file)

Now Kelton's graduated to the bathtub and here's a video of him in the tub with Dad. In the first scene Kelton is 4 weeks old and in the rest he is 6 weeks old. It's really amazing to me to look back and see how much Kelton has changed both in chubbiness and responsiveness.

My fun day

Monday was a really fun & busy day. It started out when I woke up upside down in my crib. I'm pretty wiggly when I sleep and I guess I'd turned all the way around so my feet ended up higher than my head (my crib is tilted with the head end higher to help my reflux problem). After that things started to look up. Mom took me to a fun baby music class. My friends Maya, Victoria and Aiden were there and also a bunch of new babies to meet. I was the youngest baby in the class. I liked the singing and the bells but my favorite part was singing spanish and chinese songs while watching everyone wave colored scarves around. It was fascinating. I'm looking forward to the next class!

After class I had a nice walk with Victoria. The weather was perfect - warm and sunny with clear blue skies - so it was great to be outside. We also checked out the childern's library together - lots of fun books. Once Mom and I got home I was so excited by my music class that I couldn't wait to try out the alligator xylophone that Aunt Sue sent me. It was really nifty. I even played it myself! Unfortunately I hit myself in the head with the mallet a few times before Mom put a stop to it. That wasn't as fun.

After all that stimulation I was pretty tired but just couldn't sleep. I might have been just a little fussy, so Mom took me outside in the sling and we walked down to the mailbox. I'm not sure where we went after that - I think I dozed off for a little while. I woke up when we got home and was ready for more music. Mom cranked up the stereo and played 'Night On Bald Mountain' by Moussorgsky. It really got my attention. When Mom sang along and waved my arms to the music, I thought it was so silly I couldn't stop smiling. If you go to the Amazon detail page you can listen to a bit of it and you'll see what I mean. After that excitement, I enjoyed watching my mobile while Mom made a bunch of boring phone calls.

After 20 minutes of mobile watching I let Mom know I really needed something new to do, so she put me in the carrier and we went out again. We went to the Gamble Garden and I stared up at all the lovely trees. I also enjoyed watching the purple wisteria flowers blow in the breeze. It was a lovely evening, Mom had to unlatch the top of the carrier so I could tilt my head way back and just see everything! That was exciting for almost an hour before I took a little snooze in my carrier.

When I woke up we were at home again and I was ready to eat! I was so hungry after such a busy day I just wanted to eat and eat and eat. Then Dad came home and we bounced on the ball for a while. I might have been a little cranky after such a busy day. Then Mom disappeared and Dad gave me even more milk but this time it was in a bottle. Finally I ended my fun day by curling up cozily on Dad and drifting off to sleep again - getting ready for another exciting day!

Time for a change

A slice of daily life - the changing table. We visit this table multiple times a day. Sometimes it's just a quick diaper freshen-up and sometimes it's the whole enchilada down to my birthday suit.

If I'm not too hungry, changing time is a nice time for contemplation.
