Castle Rock

Today's adventure was caving. Su-Lin and Dave joined us on a hike at Castle Rock State Park. The little guys were very excited to be "in the cave ."

At the farm

Last weekend we found a chance between the rain showers to visit Ardenwood Historic Farm. We saw cows, chickens, goats, sheep, a turkey, a kittycat, and a peacock. Kelton milled indian corn to make sheep food. All three boys got a chance to feed the sheep.

We also took a short train ride around the farm and through a monarch butterfly grove. A lovely Sunday outing.

Rainy morning

We test drove new umbrellas and rain boots today. Shoreline Park is beautiful in the rain.

Good bye until next summer

Our little cabin is snowed in for the winter. I guess we were chased out by the first real storm of the winter. At least a foot of snow fell after we left with chains on the tires. This weekend another three to five feet are expected. See you in the summer little cabin!

Brothers

While they look like they are sharing the log seat, they were actually each trying to dislodge the other. I was able to distract them for a moment.

Pizza

Weston is so careful spreading the sauce and sprinkling the ingredients on our pizza. He loves to help make it and eat it!

Playing with smoke

Some dry ice came with one of my Birthday presents and the kids got a kick out of the bubbling sounds and cold smoke when we added water.

Chalk train

Weston and Brennan aboard the chalk train.

And finally, trick-or-treating itself

Weston ended each visit with a hearty "Halloween!" followed by "More
house." I think he's got it.
