Our egg sacks hatched today. Now we have hundreds of tiny praying mantises. A few escaped the container and we found them wandering around the kitchen.
I sold our trusty Double Bob stroller today. Weston and Brennan said they didn't need it any more because they are big boys now. I'm happy to have back the space in the garage, but part of me misses my 'little' boys.
The kids love the garden. Our tomato plants are starting tiny tomatoes. Brennan has been harvesting strawberries straight into his mouth. Our pea vines are very tall and starting to flower. We all enjoy salads from the lettuce plants.
This week's nature adventure was a bug hunt at Foothill Park. We found 14 different kinds of insects, including this cicada, several butterflies, ladybug larvae and tiny jewel beetles. The butterflies were a favorite of Weston and Brennan.
Kelton and I spent a day at the new Exploratorium. They've done an amazing job with the new location.
We played with stop motion. We experimented with tornados and examined our insides among oh so many other nifty things. It's so nice to be able to go on a crowd free weekday!
