Weston and Brennan found the scarves I brought home from Chinatown. Dress up time!!!

Smoothies

We made delicious mango-orange smoothies for snack this afternoon. Weston and Brennan used the new grater/ juicier they got from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. I cut and peeled the slippery mango.

Three different kinds!

Melted crayon hearts

This morning we were very crafty! First we grated a bunch of different color crayons, then sprinkled them on wax paper, covered it with another wax paper, melted everything together with the iron, and finally cut the results into heart shapes. Kinda messy, but very nice sun catchers! All three boys got into the project.

Dissolving an egg shell

We set up our first chemistry experiment from a book we got for Christmas, "Chemistry for Every Kid". (thanks Auntie Sue!). We put a raw egg in a vinegar bath and will watch it over the next 24 hours. We noticed the shell covered with bubbles almost at once.

Redwoods

This afternoon we went for a hike at Henry Cowell Redwood Park. We also spent some time drawing ferns. Afterwards Kelton enjoyed pizza in the town of Felton.

Kapla blocks

We are all getting creative with the Kapla blocks that the kids got for Christmas.

Snow!!!

The kids had a blast sledding in Ohio. We were hoping for snow. But we didn't expect the snow to cause our flight to be delayed by 2 days! I guess they will get to sled again before we leave.
